July 12 – October 7, 2012

With "Line and Space," the Museum Wiesbaden presents a concise selection of predominantly American works from the 1960s and 70s from a Munich private collection. Beside drawings and sketches, individually selected sculptures and installations show the transformation and implementation of ideas into material and space. In this context, the contrast of drawing and object is seen as a dialogue in which the tension between spatial presentation and actual experience is explored.

Artists in the exhibition include Carl Andre, Jennifer Bartlett, Alighiero Boetti, Michael Heizer, Donald Judd, Barry Le Va, Sol LeWitt, Agnes Martin, Gordon Matta‐Clark, Charlotte Posenenske, Gerhard Richter, Bridget Riley, Fred Sandback, Alan Saret, Robert Smithson, Anne Truitt, and James Turrell.
