Always Reaching shortlisted for
James Tait Black Prize

Established in 1919, the James Tait Black Prize is the UK's longest running literary award, and the only major book prize judged by scholars and students. Always Reaching: The Selected Writings of Anne Truitt, edited by Alexandra Truitt and published by Yale University Press, has been shortlisted for the £10,000 prize in the biography category. Previous winners of the prize include Muriel Spark, Zadie Smith, Graham Greene, and Cormac McCarthy. The 2024 winner will be announced in May.
