"Artist’s Choice: Amy Sillman—The Shape of Shape" is an exhibition of nearly seventy-five works from MoMA’s collection, selected by an artist who has helped redefine contemporary painting. Sillman presents a highly personal exploration of shape, examining its creation as an act of subjective choice, in contrast to art made by following systems, rules, or grids, conventions that have often dominated artistic practice throughout the twentieth century.

 

Included in the exhibition is Anne Truitt's sculpture First Requiem from 1977.
